NABARD CJM Lauds DK Milk Union for Supporting Rural Farmers
The Dakshina Kannada Milk Union (DKMUL) has been instrumental in supporting farmers in rural areas dependent on animal husbandry by providing them with essential facilities and better incentives to improve their daily lives, said NABARD Chief General Manager (CJM) Surendra Babu.
He was addressing the gathering after inspecting the automated functioning of the Udupi Dairy on 21st September 2025. The Udupi Dairy, under the DK Milk Union, is fully automated and operates in strict adherence to food safety guidelines — a commendable achievement, he noted.
The President of DK Milk Union, Mr. Raviraja Hegde Kodavoor, welcomed the CJM of NABARD and, in his keynote address, elaborated on the journey of DKMUL and its future initiatives.
On this occasion, the CJM Surendra Babu and NABARD DDM Ms. Sangeetha were felicitated.
The DGM of SCDCC Bank Mr. Nithyananda, Board of Director of DKMUL Ms. Mamatha R. Shetty, Mr. Raviraj Udupa (Manager, P&I), Deputy Managers Ms. Padmavathi and Mr. Sudhakar, and Assistant Manager Mr. Dhanush Kumar were present during the event.
Kalyana Karnataka Liberation day
On account of Kalyana Karnataka Liberation day which was observed on 17 September 2025, through various unions under KMF 500 Nandini outlets have been inaugurated by Honorable chief MInister, Shri Siddaramayya in virtual mode. As a part of this, Shri Raviraj Hegde, President, DKMUL inaugurated one outlet set up in Excel PU College Campus of Belthangadi Taluk.
Shri Sumanth Kumar Jain, President, Excel Group of institutions who lit the lamp on this auspicious occasion appreciated saying that Nandini is offering quality products to its consumers and is one of the trustworthy organizations. DKMUL Directors Shri Sucharith Shetty, H. Prabhakar, Smt. Mamatha R Shetty, Managing Director of DKMUL Vivek D., Sachin C, Assistant Manager, Marketing, Dr. Prajwal, Principal-Excel PU College were also present during the ceremony.
